I am a photographer, filmmaker, and story-keeper rooted in Chicago. My work explores belonging, and how beauty and pain live in the same frame. I’m drawn to real light, real color, real life. I photograph as an act of witness and preservation, honoring the dignity of people in the places they call home.
The images I made in Palestine grow out of that same commitment.
I wasn’t chasing spectacle. I was paying attention to artists still creating, parents still raising their children, churches and mosques still gathering, all in the midst of colonial occupation. Murals against concrete walls. Kids playing within sight of checkpoints. Community refusing erasure. This work about the persistence of continuing to tell your story no matter what.
